Our simple tips for reusing water…

Reused water from the below sources can help with plant watering and car washing when collected over a period of time in a collection device. See our tips below.

Kettle Water

Unused water from when you boil the kettle is an ideal source of water for reuse. When making your warm drink, allow the remaining water in the kettle to cool. Over the week, you can collect all the unused water in a tub in your kitchen.

Lukewarm Water

Many of us run the tap continually until the water is cold. You can either save this water by chilling it in a jug in your fridge or collecting it in a nearby pot to reuse at a later date.

Refillable Bottles

Any unused water in your water bottle at the end of the day is ideal for reuse! Simply collect this in a pot or jug for reuse at a later date or pour the water straight into house plants.

Collect Rainwater

Placing pots outside to collect rainwater is a quick win for reusing water. Having a pot for each of your plants will allows all your plants to be watered with rainwater. Plants also prefer natural rainwater over mains water!

Condensing Clothes Driers

Many clothes driers collect water in a small vessel. This can be used for watering plants or collecting in a separate pot for reuse at a later date.
